The BEST ice cream. EVER.
After a long break of traveling, its so great to be back at my part-time restaurant job at Fenton’s Creamery in Oakland. If any of you have seen the movie UP!, then you know what I am talking about. YES this place really exists!
Now back in the day, I used to NEVER eat ice cream. I would usually go out with all my friends after football games and just get a chocolate covered cone. WITHOUT ANY ICE CREAM! I don’t know, I was just being crazy.
Now that I work at a diner that specializes in homemade ice cream, I have changed my mind. It’s amazing!!
Fenton’s has been around for 116 years. It was originally a dairy farm, then an ice cream soda fountain, and now a full blown restaurant. Definitely a very fun experience for taking your friends and family.
Fenton’s invented some really great flavors such as Toasted Almond, Rocky Road (REALLY), Swiss Milk Chocolate, and Cream Caramel Almond Crunch.
And every month, there is a special “Sundae of the Month” which benefits a different non-profit organization. This month, we are raising money for the Food Bank with the Fluffernutter Sundae.
Look how cute their sundaes are:
MMM…have I convinced you to come visit me at work yet? I hope so!
